Current Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers help Peace at Home fulfill our mission every day.
You can:

  • Answer our 24 hour Crisis Line
  • Provide emotional support to victims during divorce, custody and other legal appointments
  • Provide childcare services while moms participate in support group activities

If you are interested in working directly with clients, Peace at Home requires a volunteer training. Training dates are at the bottom of this page.

Want to help in other ways? You can:

Knit One, Purl Two Volunteers:

Creating handcrafted hats, mittens, booties, slippers and scarves for the “winter woolies” basket at the shelter.

Clerical Volunteers:

Assisting with copying, filing, general office work.

Blanket the Shelter:

TB Testing:

As a volunteer for Peace at Home, you must have a current TB test.

Do you have a current TB health card? If you do not already have a TB health card, you will need to make arrangements to get the test and bring us the card as soon as possible. You can get the test for $5 at the local Health Dept.

Thank you!
